Excursions in Mallorca

From the finca straight into the island’s diversity – between beaches, mountains, and authentic villages.

Montuïri – the village on our doorstep

The Son Manera finca is just a 15-minute walk from the center of Montuïri – a typical Mallorcan village with narrow streets and old windmills. From here, the entire island is within easy reach: the most beautiful beaches and Palma airport are just a 30-minute drive away, with the Tramuntana mountains and the island’s capital equally close.

Hiking in Mallorca

Mallorca is a paradise for hikers – whether on the beach, in the interior, or on the long-distance trail across the Serra de Tramuntana.

The Tramuntana Mountains

A UNESCO World Heritage site since 2011, the mountain range stretches from Cap de Formentor to Andratx – ideal for hiking, cycling, or simply enjoying the panoramic road.

Palma de Mallorca

The island’s capital offers culture, culinary delights, and the Gothic cathedral as its landmark – the car-free old town combines Catalan and Arabic architectural styles.

Markets in Mallorca

Vegetable, craft, and livestock markets shape island life – the Wednesday market in Sineu is just a few minutes’ drive from the finca.

The most beautiful beaches in Mallorca

Compiled by our expert Saskia, who created this ranking based on 15 years of experience on the island and personal visits to most of Mallorca’s roughly 300 beaches.

Tip: The summer months are very busy at the beaches in Mallorca – spring and autumn are particularly recommended for a visit. In July and August, an early visit before 9 AM or after 6 PM is well worth it.

Playa de Muro (East)

Playa de Muro is a dream beach about 6 km long and is often referred to as the “Caribbean of Mallorca” in fine weather – turquoise water included. The fine sandy beach is perfect for long walks and Nordic walking. Along the various beach sections, you will find small restaurants as well as sun loungers and umbrellas for rent. Parking is available at the various beach access points.

Playa Mondragó (Southeast)

Mondragó Natural Park is ideal for combining a day at the beach with a hike through Mallorca’s nature. Three beautiful bays await you around the nature reserve: the small Cala des Borgit, the fine sandy beach of s’Amarador, and the rock-framed Cala Mondragó. Beautiful paths lead along the coast and through fragrant pine forests. The parking lot at the Mondragó info center is a great starting point.

Sa Ràpita (South)

The 1.1 km long sandy beach in the south of Mallorca is a dream for beach walkers. Sun loungers and umbrellas can be rented on the beach. At the marina, at the beginning of the beach, there is a restaurant and a beach bar. Sa Ràpita merges into the sandy beaches of Ses Covettes and the famous Es Trenc beach.
